The Glacier Experience

Folgefonna is a collective name for three plateau glaciers in the Hardanger region of Vestland county, Norway. They are located on the Folgefonna peninsula. The southern part of the Folgefonna glacier is the third largest in Norway.



Blue Ice Hike

Blue Ice Hike in Juklavassbreen is arranged every day from June to October, the trip starts from the summer ski center, 19 km from Jondal in Hardanger. The Juklavass glacier consists of both role and flat er and more challenging fracture areas and is one of the most accessible glacier falls in Norway. The trip is adapted to the participants' wishes and skills. We take a lunch break with panoramic views of the North Sea and the Rosendal Alps. The glacier guide conveys knowledge about cultural history, climate, glaciology, etc. In the afternoon light we return to the ski center with the fjord and the mountains below us. Read more here.

Summer skiing

The ski trails at Fonna suit both beginners and experts with wide width and evenly groomed surfaces every day throughout the season (weather dependent).
