About

The hike starts on the farm track (which is not marked) and goes 1.5 km up the hill. At the end of the farm track you continue on a good but partly marshy woodland track. After reaching the tree line the terrain flattens out. The hike comes to a marsh area (Storemyr) and the markers show the route across the marsh. If you don’t have waterproof footwear it might be better to choose the right side of the marsh. You arrive shortly at a small lake, Vesla Raunlivatnet. The path continues along the lake until it meets with another path. (Here you can choose tour 32 down to Grotnes.) Continue towards Grønrimb. This will bring you down to Stora Raunlivatnet, which is not far from Grønrimb. There you can choose to move on to hikes 31, 32, 34 and 35. (All these have information boards at the main road.) There is an unmarked path going eastward which meets with tour 30.

Season: May – October/November.

Tips from locals

Bring food, drinking water and windproof clothing. We advise you to use hiking boots. If it’s been dry for a while you could use trainers/sneakers. We recommend that you bring a map of the area and a compass, or a GPS. Good cell phone signals covering most of the hike. Dogs must be kept (by law) on a leash at all times between April 1 and August 20. Open fire is prohibited in the hills and woods between April 15 and September 15. You are free to walk anywhere in the hills and mountains. Take care of the nature and show special consideration to all wildlife. Please do not litter. Ask the Tourist Information («Juklafjord») regarding angling/fishing and the purchase of fishing permits
